Beautiful girl, you were born to do great things so believe in yourself!

How I Get Light Brown Hair Without Bleach

Hi girls, today I thought I'd share how I color my hair to a light brown without bleach. I've been doing this for the past 2 years and I still love it. This is the longest I've stuck to one hair colour.

It's pretty simple and leaves you with the softest natural looking light brown hair. My hair is black, very typical desi black hair so it is hard to do anything to my hair without bleaching it. So, this is a very low maintenance and easy to do at home routine.

Colour results are pretty accurate.

You'll need this Loreal Excellence Hair Colour in the shade 8.1 Ash blonde. Follow the directions on the box and apply all over the hair and leave it on for at least 60 mins. Keep checking your hair during the hour to make sure you're not having any negative reactions to it. Wash off as usual and condition.

Later on for roots touch up use the same box colour and apply just on the roots and leave for 60 mins, you'll be left with perfectly blended roots.

I love this Loreal Excellence Hair dye because it doesn't seem to be as damaging as most hair dyes and gives a salon effect.

If you've any questions or if you end up trying it do let us know in the comments below.

Take care,
Until next time.

My Full Body Laser Hair Removal Experience

I finally got full body laser hair removal done at a clinic! I thought I'll also share my Tria Hair Removal Laser at home device experience for those of you who want to do it at home.

Tria Hair Removal Hair Experience

The Tria is a very effective home laser hair removal machine. People who say home laser devices don't work have either not used Tria or have used it improperly. I had good results with Tria. I used it on and off for 2 years and stopped when I got pregnant. I'm not going to talk about how to use the machine as there are lots of videos on Youtube. This machine reduced 50% of my hair growth on my arms and legs. The hair that grew back is much finer and way less dense than before. But, you cannot use this machine on the bikini area. Also, this machine is not suitable for darker skin tones. Do your research before you decide to buy one of these.

The DIY Hair Mask You Need To Try Before You Chop Your Hair

I never thought I'd live to see a pandemic. The situation around the world is crazy!

On a positive note, it gives us all some time to slow down and focus on our mental, physical and spiritual health.

I'm on a mission to revive my super damaged hair. I'm also baking and reading more which makes my soul happy, so Yay!

The first thing I did was trim my ends. Something as small as a trim can make a huge difference in the appearance of your hair. My hair instantly looked healthier and thicker with a tiny little trim.

New Beginnings..Girl from Arabia has moved to Dear Saadia!

Hi everyone,

Girl from Arabia has permanently moved to Dear Saadia due to technical issues.

I'm really excited to start blogging again. Lots of interesting new posts coming up, I've so many things to share! A lot has happened in the past two years since I stopped blogging. I've a baby boy now who is 15 months old, it's been an amazing journey of highs and lows.

I quit blogging for a couple of reasons one being that it felt like my blog wasn't of benefit to anyone, second being a new mum and working full time as a teacher I just didn't feel the motivation. Losing my old Girl from Arabia website made me realize how much I missed writing and sharing. I've also been reading the comments on my blog which makes me feel so motivated to get back and write more again.

If you've been following my blog since the beginning do leave me a comment and let me know you're still here 😅.

I've quite a few posts lined up. But, if you've any specific requests, do let me know in the comments.

Ramadan Mubarak! I'm Back! Updates & My Lasik Eye Surgery Experience!

Hello and Ramadan Mubarak! I feel so awkward blogging again. I took a loooong break from blogging because of life. Life happened. I got a new job, my family moved to Jeddah from Riyadh, I've also been trying to change my lifestyle. Lots of things have changed, I've changed. Hence, the break.

To be honest, I felt like this blog wasn't that useful for anyone. I lacked the motivation to write again. I was getting comments from lots of disappointed people asking me why I don't write anymore. So, today I decided there is just no reason not to. I do enjoy blogging and there are so many things I want to share!

If you've any blog post requests, leave them in the comments below.

Update 1: I got Lasik Eye Surgery done here in Jeddah in January. I absolutely hated wearing contacts/glasses. So, Alhamdullilah that has been one of the highlights of my year.

Lasik surgery in Jeddah is expensive. You will pay around 8000-12,000 SR for this eye correction surgery. For those who don't know Lasik surgery is a surgical procedure to correct near or far sightedness, My vision was pretty bad and it was getting worse! My left eye was -4.75 and right eye -5.00. I decided to get the surgery done when I saw an offer on for 3,999 SR.

How To Do Hammam Maghrabi or Moroccan Bath At Home

Last month I searched high and low for places that did the Moroccan bath. I found a few places but chickened out. Because I was informed that you cannot wear anything except a little plastic underwear. Needless to say, I was mortified and decided not to go.

How To Get Out of a Marriage Rut

Those who are married know that as a couple we often tend to fall into a dull and monotonous lifestyle. There is no excitement and you feel no connection with each other... We become robots, just functioning.

If you've been feeling low about your relationship, this could be the easiest way to revive some excitement.

Do something new.

How To Get Plump Lips

This is a temporary way to plump up your lips. As we grow older our lips tend to shrivel. I use this device mainly to exercise my lips. Get the blood flowing there. The plumpness doesn't last for a long time. For me, it lasts for about 20 mins. But, like I said I use this more to exercise my lips.

Before and After

I Got Red Hair!!!

Yes! I finally took the plunge and went completely red/magenta. My entire head had to be bleached! Yikes! But, surprisingly my hair is not as damaged as I expected it would be. I'm taking extra care of it so that helped in keeping my hair soft.

This was my hair inspiration. She is +Bodmon Zaid. You can find her on instagram with the same name. Since my hair was pretty dark, I didn't get the same bright red color but it is very similar to the pictures above.

This was my hair dream since forever. But, I was so hesitant because I didn't want to bleach my hair. I finally gave in and got it done. I am really satisfied by how it turned out. I love red hair so much. I can never see myself going back to brown.

Comment below if you would like more details on hair care and tips on getting red hair. <3
I've literally so many things I need to write about but I've been very lazy with the blog. Trying to catch up now! Lots of posts coming insha Allah.

Belated Eid Mubarak!

New Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette Review

This is obviously the first product I wanted to review. I love glowy dewy skin. So, highlighters are a must for me. I am obsessed with them and I'm always on the lookout for better ones.

I still do love my MAC Soft and gentle highlighter but not everyone is keen on spending 160 SR on a highlighter. For those of you who are looking for a high quality highlighter for an affordable price, keep reading.

I absolutely love the packaging. It looks and feels like a high end product. It comes with 4 different highlighters, a little brush applicator and a mirror inside.
